It is time I stopped whining about not having time to write. I need to listen to the philosophy of people like Joseph Finder, who doesn’t procrastinate, he just gets on with the job at hand.
Joseph Finder is an American thriller writer. His novels High Crimes and Paranoia have been adapted for the big screen. It may not surprise you to hear that he writes a darn good Blog as well.
Novelist Nora Roberts doesn’t hang about either.
She has written 209 novels.
I don’t lack drive per se, I have a draft of a novel already in the bag, but there is one that is still in my head and because there are so many ideas rattling around inside my brain, I sometimes feel my ageing grey matter just can’t take on board any more snippets of potential creative genius. I need to offload.
I so appreciate those of you who take the time to support me by dropping by to read LostBlogs and you will have observed that I am not blogging regularly, only churning out one blog a week since Christmas. Shame on me! This is just not good enough and things are about to change.
I have whinged and moaned that I have blown up 3 laptops in recent years and that my ipad is full. Dumb excuses. I will make enough time to write. I have bought myself a new laptop with 1 Terabyte of storage and an external drive also with 1TB of storage. By the way, I understand that 10TB could hold the printed collection of the Library of Congress. So I have absolutely no excuse now. All the ideas that have been clogging up my mind are being transferred to the cavernous memory encased inside my hardware.
No more excuses. More drive and organisation. It is a small price to pay to make more time to do what I profess to love doing the most.
