I saw The Jersey Bounce for the first time supporting Tom Jones earlier this year on a big stage and absolutely loved their performance. Quite why I had never seen them before is beyond me! This is an incredible, Jersey-based,10 piece jazz/swing band fronted by Mark Willmett who has been performing swing most of his life. He has a great voice, as does The Bounce’s other solo vocalist, Liz Birchall.

So when I started Googling their upcoming gigs, I was very happy to find that they were supporting Ray Quinn at The Opera House, Jersey last Friday.

They were all giving up their time to raise money for a Charity dear to my heart, the Jersey Branch of The Parkinson’s Society.

If the audience were having a great time, so were the members of The Jersey Bounce. They are so enthusiastic and that is what I love about them.

The band stayed on to support Ray Quinn and a very fine job they did too. It was a thoroughly entertaining evening.
