Manchester Dog’s Home Update

22nd February 2016 – this is great news!

13/09/2014 Cassie the Blog Dog posted …

Like the rest of the country we were really saddened to hear about a fire at the Manchester Dogs Home yesterday that took the lives of more than 50 dogs. About 150 dogs were rescued as firefighters and onlookers kicked down kennel doors.

The Manchester & District Home for Lost Dogs was started in 1893 by a group of Manchester Businessmen. An established organisation whose motto is Give a Dog a Home. So it is truly gutting to learn that this was an arson attack started by a 15 year old boy.

I wanted to send the poor dogs that survived the fire some of my toys to help cheer them up a bit.

But Tessa thought it best to donate to the Just Giving Page that the Manchester Evening Post have set up. This is the link:

Which will go towards making sure they have everything they need including rebuilding their kennels.

We are thinking of you guys …. Lots of love Cassie
