I seem to be having problems with my palabras and I am in a panic. I am more than capable of churning out a 1000 words a day and generally after a day’s work. I may stay up most of the night to achieve it but I get such a buzz having done it, I breeze off to work the following morning feeling a similar adrenalin rush to the one you get from taking aerobic exercise.

During the last few weeks I have been struggling. Instead of staying up all night releasing the creative flow, I have been staying up all night battling against insomnia! So I thought I would change my routine this week in an attempt to break the block and write before I go to work. The first thing that comes into my head after my alarm goes off. Anything. How hard could that be I thought?

Unfortunately, I had dried up again by Wednesday. Ahhhgggg!

According to Yahoo, The 5 Types of Writer’s Block in Marketing – and How to Overcome Them By Andrew Moravick, Sun, Aug 31, 2014 1:30 PM EDT

The five most common writers blockages are:

  1. Self-Doubt Demons
  2. Creativity Congestion
  3. Apathy Apparitions
  4. The Tension Tar Pit
  5. Running on Empty Information

I think this is a great article. Absolutely spot on. They could all apply to me but the congestion block probably sums me up the best. There is too much going on inside by brain and I need to focus on one topic to break down this blasted block. I am off now, to see if I can cultivate my purple patch.
